Why do I have to verify my account?
LeoVegas is certified and regulated by the MGA as a result, we are license bound to validate your identity at some point. Rest assured your documents are held on an encrypted secure server.
Essentially, we wish to secure your funds and want to be certain that we are paying out your winnings to yourself and nobody else. We also need to be sure that the deposits you have made to your account have come from legitimate sources. This is all to avoid certain situations – for example, if someone were to use your payment card on their gaming account without your permission or knowledge and then transferred the funds to their own bank account.
When will I need to verify my account?
At LeoVegas, we're committed to providing a safe and responsible gaming environment. A big part of this is knowing our players are of legal gambling age and are who they say they are. That's where account verification comes in.
Here are the most common scenarios when you'll be asked to verify your LeoVegaas account:
1. Upon Reaching a Specific Deposit or Withdrawal Threshold:
To comply with anti-money laundering regulations, we are required to verify your identity before processing significant transactions. This typically occurs when your cumulative deposits or withdrawals reach a certain amount. Don't worry; we'll notify you when you approach this limit.
2. When You Request a Larger Withdrawal:
If you request a withdrawal exceeding our standard limits, we might ask for additional verification documents. This helps us ensure the security of your funds and comply with financial regulations.
3. During Random Security Checks:
To maintain the integrity of our platform, we conduct random security checks on accounts. This helps prevent fraud and protects all our players. If your account is selected for a random check, we'll reach out to you with instructions on how to proceed.
4. If We Suspect Suspicious Activity:
While rare, if we notice any unusual or potentially fraudulent activity on your account, we might temporarily restrict it and request verification documents. This is done solely to protect you and your funds.

How do I verify my account?
When should I send in documents?
You will receive a notification via email from LeoVegas asking you to verify a certain document in order to validate your member account details. We may require certain documents at different stages in time and there is the possibility that we re-request a new document such as a new ID to keep your account info updated.
What type of documents do you require?
ID - In order to verify your identity, we need to see a government issued photo ID that states your place of birth. This ID should be valid and in date. We need to see all four corners of the document and ensure that the images are clear and all 4 corners of the document are visible. Please do not cover any part of the image.
Proof of Address - We need to see a utility bill, letter or statement that has an issue date within the last 3 months. You can take a screenshot of any online bills you may have, or otherwise take a photo of the document and upload it. You can mask any other personal information that's showing on this document.
On this document, we need to see the following:
- Your name
- Your address
- The issue date
- The company name/ logo
Please ensure you can see all of the above in order to verify your proof of address document.
How do I upload my documents?
You can use our document upload feature on your account by heading to the “Hamburger Menu”, “Profile”. From here you will see your “Account Overview” and any requested documents can be seen under “Verify Account”. Make sure you have your documents ready before entering the upload feature.
