- Fixed Odds - In a fixed odds bet, your payout is determined by the odds when you placed your bet, no matter how much the odds fluctuate.
- Handicap Betting - This is where you bet on the outcome of an event (at full or part-time) where one team has been given a point's start. Bets are settled on the virtual outcome after applying the handicap.
- In-play Betting - Make bets while a race or match is in progress. Next goal, next corner etc.
- Qualifying Bet - A bet which qualifies/meets the requirements for a promotion
- Void Bet - A bet which is declared invalid. The stake is returned unless the voided event was included in a multiple system.
- Yankee - A combination bet on four events combined into six doubles, four trebles and one fourfold - i.e. eleven bets.
- Accumulator - A multiple bet placed on a series of events. You must correctly predict the results of all the events to win the accumulator.
- Asian Handicap - This type of handicap bet only has 2 options – a win or a loss. In the event of a draw (after the handicap is applied) the bet is voided and your money is returned.
- Correct Score - A bet placed on the exact score of a match or event at full or part-time.
- Each Way - Bet is split equally into a Win & Place. Win bet pays out normal odds, whilst Place bet pays out a pre-determined fraction if the runner finishes in a place position. Odds and places vary on the number of runners.
- Favorite - The team, side, horse or contestant that is considered to be the most talented or the most likely to win.
- Dead heat -Dead Heats occur when runners finish exactly at the same time with nothing separating them.
- Starting Price (Sp) - The odds available for the runner at the start of the race once betting ends. This would be based off fixed odds offered by the bookmakers at the track.
- Best Odds Guaranteed (BOG) – Odds used for resulting will be the best (highest) odds between the normal odds at the time of bet placement, and the SP for that runner.
