This article answers frequently asked questions regarding common sports betting scenarios, including player changes, event disruptions and bet settlements.
Do you offer Super Sub as an available bet?
LeoVegas does not currently offer Super Sub.
However, if this is something you would like to request, please refer to our How can I request odds on an unlisted market or event? article and contact our customer support team.
As this option isn’t available, if you place a bet on a player and they are subbed off, the bet will not transfer to the new player, meaning the bet will still settle as a loss.
For example: If you bet on Erling Haaland to score and he doesn’t before being subbed for Omar Marmoush – even if Marmoush scores, the bet would still settle as a loss.
What happens if a player retires in a sport?
When placing 'Future Winners' bets on sports such as F1, skiing, motorcycling, cycling and more, if a player retires before the bet settles, the bet is considered a loss.
A player retires in a tennis match, why has my bet not been voided?
If the player you bet on withdraws before the first set is completed, the bet is voided meaning you’ll receive your full stake back.
After the first set is completed, any withdrawals/disqualifications don't count, and the bet will settle based on tournament progression.
For example: If you bet on Carlos Alcaraz to beat Novak Djokovic at Wimbledon and Alcaraz retires due to injury in the third game of the second set, your bet will settle as a loss as Djokovic progresses to the next round.
The event has been suspended, postponed or abandoned. Why has my bet not been voided?
Sometimes there can be unforeseen circumstances which lead to an event being postponed, suspended or abandoned. Our rules vary depending on the situation:
Match Suspended
- If the event is played within 12 hours of the original scheduled time, the bet will stand.
- If the outcome of your bet has already occurred before suspension, the bet is considered settled.
- Unsettled bets will be refunded.
Match Abandoned
- If a match is abandoned after it starts and an official result is confirmed within 12 hours, the bet will stand.
- If no result is confirmed within that time, the bet will be voided and your stake returned.
For example: If you bet on Liverpool to beat Arsenal and the match is abandoned in the 72nd minute with Liverpool leading 2-1. If that result is later confirmed as final, your bet stands. If not, your bet is voided.
Match Postponed
- If a match is postponed before it starts and is not played within 12 hours of the original kick-off time, the bet is void.
- If the match is played within 12 hours, the bet will stand.
What happens if one of the selections in my accumulator is voided?
Should one of the selections in your accumulator be voided (system or combination), that selection will be removed from the bet, and the new odds will be based on the remaining selections.
Please note: When betting on football through the Bet Builder functionality, if one of the selections is voided, the remaining selections will also be voided.
